Assessment of clinical profile of patients with non-radiographic axial spondyloarthropathy in a tertiary health-care center

Background: Axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA) is an inflammatory and immune-mediated condition comprising clinically differentiated ankylosing spondylitis (AS) nonradiographic nr- axSpA. Clinically, as the name suggests, non-radiographic axSpA has absence of definitive plain X-ray evidence structural damage to sacroiliac joint. Aims Objectives: The aim study was assess evaluate clinical profile patients with axial spondyloarthropathy. Materials Methods: This conducted in department Medicine over 18 months a tertiary health care institution, being prospective observational type done 43 subjects. Results: We observed major improvement per ASDAS criteria present among 53.49% subjects, followed by significant 27.91% About 18.60% subjects did not show any improvement. 9.3% showed radiological progression. Out eight cases that improvement, all presented low back pain morning stiffness. 62.5% had peripheral arthritis. 87.5% Schober’s test positive, FABER (62.50%) joint tenderness found 7.5% A total 4 (9.3%) All them have ache stiffness, three having arthritis at presentation. who progression higher mean ESR CRP (45 36.5, respectively) values very high disease activity BASDAI criteria. Conclusion: There great scope need for research differentiate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) changes normal population against ones spinal diseases be able use MRI precision spondyloarthropathy (nr-axSpA).
